Working Girl

I just got a job! I am now working at Inovar. They make electronics. I will be working the weekend graveyard shift. Five in the evening to five in the morning on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So, I will have no social life on the weekends. But I'm free all week if any of you want to call me or come up to Logan and visit me... or you know, help me get ready for my wedding. It would be nice to hear from any of you sometime. Summer is approaching and you should be able to come see me once in awhile. :) Yay for having a job!! Yay for Summer!!

100

100 days until my wedding. For those in my family who are frustrated that I haven't started planning anything, I'm just trying to survive my finals first. Then I can plan my wedding stress (well, sort of) free.

Anyway, I'm so grateful for my fiancee. I can't wait until we get to go to the temple together. On Sunday, he was at work and he had left his Sunday clothes at my apartment. I was cold so I put his jacket on. I smelled him and an overwhelming feeling of love and gratefulness overcame me. I had to say a little prayer right then, because I know what a blessing Mark is to me. I look back a year and I can't believe what a difference he has made in me and my life. He has made me so much better. He understands me so well. I couldn't ask for a better person to marry.

A New Engagement

Mark and I are engaged!! I finally got the chance to post about it. He proposed to me at Elite Hall on March 19. I said yes. :) We're getting married in the Logan temple on August 4th. We're planning on having a reception the same day down in Bountiful. Hope to see you there! We're so so happy!!!!!

It's That Time of Year Again!

That's right, I'm doing Relay for Life again folks! This is where I ask you for donations to save people's lives! This money goes towards cancer research. My friends and I are on a team and we are competing with other teams at USU and in Logan to see who can raise the most money for cancer research. As a Biology major, I hear about the devastation of cancer on a weekly basis. The heartache it causes is tremendous, as is the physical pain. So let's put our resources towards fixing this set of diseases and finding a way to heal individuals and communities. You can access my personal page and donate online through this link. Thank you so much for giving!

Spring 2011

It's time for another semester. I've got a pretty hard schedule ahead of me. 15 credits of difficult classes can add up to a lot in textbooks. All of which I plan to read. Except for my statistics book. I'll probably just do the math problems for my homework. Math texts can be really dry... I'm looking forward to this. It will be a challenging semester. Luckily I have a secret weapon that will keep me sane through it all. He's pretty sweet, and takes good care of me. So, I'm looking forward to another four months of learning and fun.

Mocktail Party!!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of my Mocktail Party. It was crazy fun! I am totally having another one. Probably next semester. Dressing up will be required next time though. Mark and Alaina and I dressed up fancy. My roommates were helpful and also dressed up to help the ambiance. Everyone was required to have a name tag with a name that was not truly their own. People were very creative in coming up with new names. The bathroom was turned into an Art Gallery. Our featured artist was Alaina Lambert. (The artwork is still up. ) We used the cups from my collection to "drink" our "mocktails."
