2020 brought many challenges. Covid made the whole world shut down and Calvin had to complete kindergarten online. Mark got to do his college courses online as well. In the spring I got some caterpillars and we watched them become butterflies and released them. It was such a hit I've done it every year since. It is one of my favorite parts of spring.
In Summer 2020 we were able to go camping only two times. The first was to Bloomington Lake. It was quite fun to hike into the lake and climb all around the big rocks surrounding the lake. We were also able to visit Bear Lake on that camping trip. Our second camping trip was our huckleberry trip. That year was completely disappointing as far as huckleberries go. I remember thinking that the berries had to be bad, because the whole year was kind of a bummer with the pandemic, and everything else that happened that year.
Right before our Bloomington trip the neighbor upstairs clogged her toilet and it flooded the kids' bedroom ceiling. That was a huge hassle. The landlord wouldn't do anything about it for a month. When he finally fixed it we painted the room green and put curtains on the window.
Fall brought a new adventure for Albric as he started preschool. Calvin started 1st grade, and Mark continued working on his degree part time. In September I broke my ankle by trying to show off my sweet ninja skills to the kids after we watched the original Karate Kid. I spent 10 weeks in an orthopedic boot. In October the neighbor flooded the ceiling again and we decided to fix it ourselves instead of waiting on the landlord. We had Thanksgiving at home again this year because we had a bad storm that kept us from driving to my parents. That fall I made new hoodies for the boys. I made everybody a crocheted stocking for Christmas. The pictures are in reverse order.
