For the past several months, I have barely been able to keep up with my housekeeping. I rarely clean my kitchen. It's about a 50% chance that I will say cereal is for dinner on any given night. This pregnancy has been very difficult. I had a ton of migraines until about halfway through, and the morning sickness lasted that long too. I lost 10 pounds just from being sick all the time. About the time I started to feel better from all that, my Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction kicked in. I had the same thing with Calvin, but it only started happening in the last two months. This time it started right at the halfway mark. My hormones have told my ligaments and bones to start relaxing for birth, and so my pelvic girdle has a hard time holding up the extra weight of my belly. The result is tremendous pain whenever I am standing/walking/doing anything except lying down.
As the due date for our little brother gets closer and closer, the feeling that I need to prepare is getting strong. I felt compelled to make food to put in the freezer. I kept thinking that I should wait until closer to the due date, but then I realized it might not be a bad thing to have food that we could quickly prepare during these next few weeks as I am not feeling up to cooking when dinner time rolls around. So, I did prepare some food this week. On Monday, I planned what I was going to cook for the freezer, cleaned my whole kitchen, and bought all the ingredients I would need. I also went around to a few ladies to invite them to a Relief Society thing that will be on Saturday. I did all this even though I was feeling extra dizzy. It felt like I did a lot compared to what I usually do.
On Tuesday, after Mark went to work, I got started on cooking. I worked all day, taking an hour and a half break to serve one of my visiting teaching sisters, and a half hour break to pick Mark up from work. My freezer now holds 4 cheddar chicken casseroles, 4 homemade pizzas, 3 bags of meatballs, 10 waffles, 16 'hot pockets', and 29 burritos. I figure that if we eat 2 waffles at a time (I mostly made those for me and Calvin), and 2 hot pockets and burritos at a time that is about 38 meals. You might be more impressed if I included a picture of all the food I cooked in one day, but I'm too tired (lazy?) to pull it all out of the freezer just for a picture. Maybe next time. Now I have a huge mess in the kitchen to clean up, and the motivation has waned a little... I am having the desire to clean and sew for the baby. I think I just need to be a little careful not to burn myself out all at once.

Give Me S'more Days Like This
On Saturday, the weather was warm and windy. We decided to utilize the fire pit in our backyard. We bought hot dogs and some salads and chips and s'mores supplies. Calvin liked the hot dogs so much, he stole mine right out of my bun. I thought it was a lot of fun. I can't wait to do it again.

Perry the Platypus
In order to make myself feel better and less depressed, I decided I should make things while I'm sitting around feeling awful from this pregnancy. Calvin has been watching Phineas and Ferb over and over again. I think this is our 5th time through the series. On the show, they have a pet platypus who is also a secret agent. I decided the first thing I would make would be this Perry the Platypus stuffed toy. I was planning on saving it for Christmas, but we'll see. I learned how to crochet at a Relief Society activity. I supplemented anything I didn't know by looking it up on the internet. I'm hoping to make a stuffed octopus for baby brother. I'm just trying to decide if I should put a rattle inside it or not. I didn't take progress pictures, but here is the complete Perry the Platypus.

Hiding Calvin
On Saturday, Mark went to a 'hack-a-thon' on campus and didn't come home until late. I got our very sick boy ready for bed and got into bed myself. He said he wanted to hide, and I was too tired to fight him about it. He climbed into the cupboard opening of my bedside table. After a few minutes, I realized he was snoring. I got up and took a couple pictures of him to show Mark in case he woke up before daddy came home. He was still there when Mark came home. I told Mark to find Calvin. I heard him laughing when he found him. He proceeded to take a video that you may have seen on my Facebook profile. On Sunday, he wanted to climb in the drawers of Mark's desk. I cleaned out the fridge last night and he wanted to climb in the crisper drawers, but I wouldn't let him. This morning, he opened the fridge and pushed a chair over. I went and checked on him and found that he had climbed in the crisper drawer. He then climbed onto the bottom shelf. I wonder where I'll find him the next time he hides.

Date Night with Calvin
During the Semi-Annual Priesthood Session of General Conference last week, I took Calvin for a little date just the two of us. Earlier in the day, we could not find his shoes anywhere. They are getting to be too small and are getting holes in them anyway, so I thought I would take him to buy new shoes. We dropped Daddy off at the church (he met up with his dad and brothers), and then went to Shopko. Calvin fell asleep in the car on the way to the church, and slept clear until I was trying shoes on his feet. There was a BOGO 1/2 off sale, so we ended up getting him a pair of light up Cars shoes and some Sunday shoes. I looked for some for me, but either they were uncomfortable or not my style. Since he came to the store without shoes, I just put the Cars shoes on his feet and let him wear them for the rest of the night. Awesomely, when I got to the register they were $10 less than the price tag said. We then walked across the parking lot to Chick-fil-A. I think Calvin had a good time because he threw a HUGE temper tantrum when it was time to leave. We took some time to cool off, and then went and got a scoop of Aggie ice cream. The line was long, but it was worth it because it was free. I found a coupon on my windshield one day for having an Aggie license plate. While we were eating our ice cream, Calvin climbed up on the table and pointed at the napkin dispenser. Then he said, "Doctor Who," and knocked on the side. I guess the blue color reminded him of the TARDIS. He sure had me gleaming with nerd pride. Anyway, he LOVES his new shoes. Every morning, the first thing he wants to do is put his shoes on. Even if he refuses to put anything else on, he wants those shoes on. We found his old shoes by the way. They were in the seat of his big Thomas the train toy. Gotta love that boy and his antics. I love him very much, and I'm glad we got to do something fun outside of the apartment.
