Fruits of My Labor

We found an old (and by old I mean it was made in 1967) food dehydrator at DI.  It was only $5 but it works great.  Oh, the joy of DI.  I've been experimenting with it.
Apple rings and Banana chips.

Movin' on Up (or is it down...?)

After almost six months of living together in this tiny attic apartment, Mark and I are moving... to the basement.  Mark's younger brother lived there until Saturday.  The basement apartment is bigger and doesn't have the whole sloped ceiling issue.  The oven is bigger and newer, we'll be able to have a bed frame underneath our mattress, and we'll be able to fit our dinner table in the kitchen instead of in the corner of the family room.  While this could have come at a better time (Two tests, one presentation and one paper all due next week...) I'm glad we get to move out of this tiny apartment.  We do have plenty of good memories here though.

Winners!

We are the champions!  Well, sort of.  On Tuesday, we attended the USU Ballroomfest.  There we performed our routine with our swing team.  We also entered an open swing competition.  We took second place.  We each got a medal, and the couple that got first place won all the other competitions (the dumb thing about that is I bet he wasn't doing Big Band).  So, even though it wasn't a real competition, and we only got second, we're still proud of ourselves.

A First

In out lives, we have many firsts.  Our first lost tooth, our first day of school, our first trophy, etc.  Well, yesterday I had one of my firsts.  I cut hair for the first time.  It didn't turn out too bad.  I only messed up one spot, over the right ear.  So, enjoy the pictures of my handsome husband and his new haircut.

Here he is.  He's so happy with his wife.
This is the left ear.  It doesn't look too terrible.
A nice even neckline.

The right ear.  I went a little too high.  Oh well, it will grow out.  That's the beautiful thing about hair.

Honeymoon Pictures

We rode on a Gondola

We bought a full rack of ribs and ate them for breakfast.

We went on a 5 mile hike.  This is a picture of the lower falls.  They were a quarter mile up the trail.

This is Mark posing on a big rock.

This is the upper falls.  It was 2 miles from the lower falls.

The waterfall was really cold.  We wore our swimming suits underneath and climbed in the water when we reached the top.

We got to go on a two hour horse ride.  This is at the top of the trail.
I know our honeymoon was awhile ago, but I wanted to share some pictures anyway.  I hope you enjoyed.
