Heather Johnson
This is going to be a very emotional post for me to write. My roommate Heather has been called by the Lord to go and serve a mission in Hungary for the next 18 months. She has always been such a great support to me. I'm a little scared to live without her, because she's been there my whole college career thus far. She has such spiritual strength and such wisdom. We could sit, just her and I and talk for three hours straight about anything. I think she knew me better than I knew myself. She was also lots of fun. I'm really going to miss her. My heart is already aching a bit.

Finally done with Finals
Finals are over. :) Bring on the simmer! I passed all my classes. It's so nice to have the semester behind me. Now I just get to focus on working and getting enough money to pay my rent for next year. Cross your fingers for me to get some federal aid to help me next year. :)

April Fool's Day
At 4 this morning, Kim got up and was talking to someone on our stairs. It was our friend Amy Tingey. She and Greg Anderson were pranking us. I remarked to Kim how I hoped they wouldn't do anything that would seriously hinder me from getting to my 7:30 test before I fell back asleep. This morning, I woke up and with wariness walked downstairs. In the kitchen, I saw a big fishbowl with seven or eight fish in it, two of them were dead, and the light fixture was taken off the ceiling. Then, I went into our downstairs bathroom so I could put in my contacts. There was a lily plant in our sink. I'm not kidding you. Dirt and all. It made me laugh so hard. There were also two more fish in one of our cereal bowls with a note that named them. I had to go upstairs to put my contacts in. When I came back down, Stephanie had turned on the light in the family room. All the light bulbs had been replaced with blue ones. On one of our chairs, sat a whoopy cushion. I wonder what else we'll discover through the course of the day.

Billy Joel/Elton John Face 2 Face
Last March, five of my friends and I bought tickets to see the Billy Joel Elton John concert. It was scheduled to take place in November. We were counting down the months, then the weeks, then the days. Then, the day before it was supposed to happen, we found out that it was canceled because Elton John was sick. So, we had to wait a few more months to go. On Friday, February 19, the concert finally took place. Our seats were behind the stage and to the left a little bit, but it was a pretty good view. We had a screen facing our way, and we could see the pianomen at their best from above. They opened the concert singing together, and then each had his own set of songs before closing in duets. The light show was actually pretty cool from where we were sitting, because the lights lit up the whole arena and we could watch the colors and patterns shining on the audience. It was a lot of fun to go and have this experience. I was even able to get a few pictures with my phone. They're not very good quality, but still pretty neat.

Snowy Trees
It hasn't snowed for a while up here in Logan. But for the past few days, we've been getting a really thick fog. One result of this fog is that the trees become "frosted." It looks like it snowed, but it didn't. It's the oddest thing. I took some pictures. I hope you can tell that the trees look white.

Swing Performance
Some of you have asked me to put up the videos of me dancing. I don't have any on my camera, so I'm putting up the links to a couple of videos on Facebook if you haven't seen them yet.
Basketball game
This video is of our team dancing at an Aggie basketball game. I'm actually dancing in it. There was a back board in the way, because Mom recorded it for us (Thanks Mom!) and the ticket office gave them crappy seats.
Elite Hall Benefit Dance
This video is of our team dancing at the Elite Hall Benefit Dance. It's a better video, and you can see the routine from the front. I'm proud to say that we're getting better at performing it. We're going to dance this routine in Colorado at the end of March in the Intercollegiate Swing Battle. Usually one of the Colorado teams wins it. We're trying to clean up the routine and get first place.
